Why Payout Speed Varies So Much by Method
Approval time and settlement time are separate numbers, and only one is under the operator's control.
Advertised withdrawal times conflate two different things, and separating them explains most of the confusion.
Approval time is the operator's internal step: risk review, verification checks and authorisation. This ranges from minutes at automated operators to several working days where a manual review queue exists, and it is entirely within the operator's control.
Settlement time is the payment rail: e-wallets often settle within hours, instant bank transfer schemes within minutes to a day, card withdrawals commonly two to five working days, and traditional bank transfers longer, with weekends and cut-off times adding delay.
When comparing operators, ask specifically about the approval step. "Withdrawals within 24 hours" usually describes approval, and the total wait is approval plus settlement.
