KYC Checks and Why Withdrawals Get Delayed
Identity verification is a legal requirement, not a stalling tactic — but knowing the process saves days of waiting.
Licensed casinos are obliged to verify who you are under anti-money-laundering and licensing rules. Most withdrawal complaints trace back to verification, not to a refusal to pay.
What is usually requested: government photo ID, proof of address dated within the last three months, and proof of the payment method used. Larger or unusual withdrawals can trigger source-of-funds checks, which ask for payslips, bank statements or similar evidence.
How to avoid delays. Register with your legal name exactly as it appears on your ID. Complete verification before you deposit rather than after you win. Deposit and withdraw with a method held in your own name — third-party payments are refused almost everywhere. Send clear, uncropped documents in the requested format.
Reverse withdrawal, sometimes called pending or flushing, is a separate issue: some casinos hold a withdrawal for a period during which you can cancel it and play the money back. Where the option exists, disable it in your account settings.
Timelines. E-wallets are typically fastest once verified, card withdrawals usually take several banking days, and bank transfers take longest. If a payment is outside the operator's own stated timeframe and support cannot explain why, escalate to the regulator's approved complaints body.
