Why One Casino Group Holds Several Licences
Market access, not prestige, is the reason a group collects licences across jurisdictions.
Large gambling groups routinely hold licences in half a dozen jurisdictions at once. This is a market-access requirement rather than a badge collection.
Most regulated markets are territorial. To take a customer in Great Britain you need a British licence; to take one in Ontario you need registration with the AGCO and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario; Germany requires a GGL permit, Sweden a Spelinspektionen licence.
Because of this, the same brand can behave differently depending on where you sign up. Game availability, bonus size, deposit limits and even stake caps are set by the local rulebook, not by the brand.
When you compare two reviews of the same casino and they contradict each other, the usual explanation is that they describe two different licensed versions of the same site.
