National Self-Exclusion Schemes Across Markets
GAMSTOP, Spelpaus, OASIS and others cover every licensed operator in their market at once.
Self-exclusion at a single casino only covers that casino. National schemes exist so one registration covers an entire licensed market.
Great Britain uses GAMSTOP, which every UKGC-licensed remote operator must integrate. Sweden operates Spelpaus, Germany operates OASIS, and several other jurisdictions run equivalents. Registration is free and applies for a chosen minimum period that cannot be shortened on request.
The known gap is unlicensed sites, which are not connected to any scheme. Device-level blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker closes part of that gap, and many banks offer a gambling transaction block that adds another layer.
Used together — national scheme, blocking software, bank block — the coverage is far stronger than any one of them alone.
