How Casino Brands Position Themselves
Mass market, premium, niche and crypto-first positioning each imply a different customer economics.
Brand positioning in iGaming maps closely to the customer economics behind it.
Mass-market brands compete on offer size and media spend, aim for high volume and accept high churn. Premium brands emphasise service, higher limits and faster payouts, and are built around a smaller number of higher-value customers. Niche brands target a vertical — bingo communities, live casino specialists, particular sports — and rely on retention rather than acquisition.
Crypto-first brands compete on payment speed and reach, typically under lighter-touch licences.
Reading positioning is useful because it predicts the experience. A mass-market brand's bonus terms will be tighter and its support scripted; a premium brand's headline offer will be smaller and its withdrawal handling better.
