Duplicate Accounts: Why One Person Means One Account

Shared households, shared devices and second accounts are the most common terms breach.

Nearly every operator's terms permit one account per person, and often one per household, IP address or device.

The rules exist to prevent bonus abuse and to make self-exclusion enforceable, and detection uses device fingerprinting, payment instruments, addresses and behavioural matching.

Consequences are severe: bonus winnings voided, accounts closed and, in some cases, balances withheld under the terms. Genuine cases exist — two adults in one household with separate finances — and they should be declared to support in advance rather than discovered later.

If you have an old dormant account, recover it rather than registering again. A duplicate created by accident is treated the same way as one created deliberately.
